Presented at the 13th Specialist Meeting on Microwave Radiometry and Remote Sensing of the EnvironmentA numerical reconstruction of the brightness temperature is examined as a potential way to improve the retrieval of salinity from Aquarius measurements closer to land-water boundaries. A test case using simulated ocean-land scenes suggest promise for the technique.
