We are pleased to announce the newly redesigned PO.DAAC State of the Ocean (SOTO) visualization tool, version 4.0.0, now available online at https://podaac-tools.jpl.nasa.gov/soto/. SOTO is a suite of tools presented through an interactive, web-based visualization front end. It provides access to a broad range of satellite-derived products and key parameters of interest to the oceanographic community. SOTO facilitates visual exploration and comparative analysis of physical oceanographic data, enabling scientific oceanographic, climate, and related research. SOTO 4.0.0 includes a redesigned user interface with a multi-layer interactive display, measurement tools, continuous display across the dateline, improved performance, dynamic and interactive animation. It also includes the historical record for each of the oceanographic parameters currently displayed within the tool. Available parameters and the associated datasets include:
