Science: Salinity Highlights

Salinity observations are a key ingredient for studying our ocean and its ties to Earth's atmosphere. In synergy with other ocean-observing satellites and in-situ instruments, salinity data have been used to better understand ocean circulation, the water cycle, and climate. Findings here highlight the application of salinity data to address societally relevant issues such as land-sea linkages and the mixing of river plumes along the paths of hurricanes.
